I'm back!

Why I Stopped Writing Here (and Why I’m Back)
My last “The Coach's Minute” was published in April… Six months of silence.
I could tell you I simply didn’t have the time, but that wouldn’t be entirely true.
The truth is, I let perfection get in the way of consistency. Every article had to be useful, relevant, inspiring. The result? Nothing got published.
There was always a good reason to put it off: a client to support, a project to manage, something else that felt more urgent.
Then one evening, while preparing a text for some friends, I rediscovered something I had forgotten: writing without waiting for it to be perfect.
Keeping it short. Keeping it real. And saying it out loud.
It reminded me why I started this blog in the first place: not to impress, but to share what I see, week after week, in my coaching sessions and in the projects I lead for companies.
Because this is exactly what I tell the people I work with: we don’t move forward by waiting until we feel completely ready. We move forward by taking one small step, and then another.
Somewhere along the way, I had stopped following my own advice. There, I’ve said it.
There is also a happier reason for this silence: I translated Happy Job into English.
I couldn’t have done it alone. A former colleague and English friend, Martin — the most French Englishman I know, I promise you — helped me finalise the text, with a patience and sensitivity to nuance that I won’t forget.
The English edition is due to be published later this October. I’ll tell you more very soon.
So here’s what I’d like to suggest: a new post on the 8th of every month.
A short piece, just a few minutes to read, and one idea to take away.
Sometimes a tool, sometimes a question, sometimes simply a thoughtful perspective.
Next post: November 8th.
And if there’s a topic you’d particularly like me to explore, just drop me a line. I may well include it in a future The Coach’s Minute.
So, see you soon. And this time, I promise: I won’t wait for it to be perfect.
Wishing you a gentle and beautiful start to autumn.
Warmly, Sophie
